Getting started
Accounts, login, and first steps on K12 Hunar.
Go to Sign up and choose the role that fits you — student, parent, school, or mentor. Complete verification with the OTP we email you. Parents can link children after the account is active where the product supports it.
Open Log in → Forgot password. Check spam and promotions folders. Request a new code and wait at least one minute between attempts. If your school blocks external mail, use a personal email you check daily.
Use an inbox you control and check regularly. School addresses that block outside senders often miss OTP and reset mail — a parent or personal Gmail works well.
Students
Dashboard, events, library, and mentors.
Your student dashboard shows bookings, saved events, library access, and mentor discovery depending on what your school or parent has enabled. Explore Events and Scholarships from the main navigation.
Open Events, filter by category or city, and read eligibility, fees, and deadlines on each listing. Complete registration before the closing date — popular events fill quickly.
Open the Library for books, PDFs, and practice sets. Some resources require a signed-in session; favourites and progress may sync to your account.
Parents
Children, schools, scholarships, and bookings.
The parent dashboard is your hub for linked children, bookings, and discovery. Keep city and board preferences accurate so recommendations stay relevant.
Use Schools to compare listings, facilities, and reviews as one signal — always verify fees, admissions, and visit policies directly with the school.
Browse Scholarships early, note closing dates and document requirements, and apply through the official process linked on each listing. Hunar lists opportunities; awards are decided by providers.
Schools & mentors
Profiles, listings, events, and sessions.
Manage your public profile, publish events, and handle bookings shown to families. Update seasonal details like fees, admissions windows, and contact channels when they change.
Some edits go through admin review to reduce spam and protect families. Email support with your school name and registered email if approval takes longer than a few business days.
Complete your mentor profile and availability. Session requests are for professional guidance and career direction — not for completing a child's homework on their behalf.
Safety & policies
Community standards, privacy, and urgent reports.
Treat others respectfully, especially minors. Read our Community Guidelines. For harassment, impersonation, or risk to a child, contact us with subject line URGENT — Safety so we can prioritise review.
Visit the Legal center for Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer. Use Privacy requests for access, correction, or deletion where applicable under our processes.
