UI/UX Designer Internship

Job overview

K12 Hunar is looking for a creative and detail-oriented UI/UX Designer Intern to help design user-friendly digital experiences across our websites, mobile applications, dashboards, and SaaS products. The intern will work with the design, product, and development teams to transform product requirements and user needs into wireframes, prototypes, design systems, and development-ready interfaces. This is a three-month unpaid remote internship. Candidates who successfully complete the internship may be considered for a paid internship or full-time role based on their performance, design skills, business requirements, and role availability.

Responsibilities

• Create user flows, information architecture, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Design responsive interfaces for websites, mobile applications, SaaS products, and role-based dashboards.
• Conduct user research and analyze user needs, pain points, behaviors, and feedback.
• Build and maintain reusable design systems, components, typography, colour styles, grids, and spacing standards.
• Improve usability, accessibility, navigation, visual hierarchy, and consistency across digital products.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, researchers, content writers, and other designers.
• Prepare development-ready designs, specifications, assets, and prototypes, and review the implemented interfaces.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Interaction Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Figma, including components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, and shared design libraries.
• Basic understanding of user-centred design, responsive design, design systems, and accessibility.
• Ability to convert product requirements and research findings into practical design solutions.
• Strong visual-design skills with attention to typography, colour, spacing, hierarchy, and consistency.
• Ability to receive feedback, explain design decisions, and collaborate effectively in a remote team.
• A portfolio containing UI/UX projects, case studies, wireframes, or prototypes is required.
